Worship and Services in St Mary's church

The regularity and attendance at services has varied considerably over the years. At first, only evening services were held. Eucharist Services were first held in 1903. A pattern of alternate Eucharist with Morning or Evening Services then developed. During the 1970s Services in the winter were held monthly in people’s homes. Since then there has been an increase in the number of services held and the numbers of people attending. The present pattern of services is:

FIRST SUNDAY IN THE MONTH
Worship for All Ages   - 11.15am
SECOND SUNDAY IN THE MONTH
Evensong  - 6pm
THIRD SUNDAY IN THE MONTH
Sung Eucharist  - 11.15am
FOURTH SUNDAY IN THE MONTH
No Service at St. Mary’s
FIFTH SUNDAY IN THE MONTH

‘Benefice’ Services take place in rotation around the churches of the Benefice which includes Embleton Parish and the Parish of Rennington and Rock. These are held at 10.15am.

At St. Mary’s coffee is served after the morning services.  You are welcome to join us for all services.
